Bicycle riders: what should I look for in my next road bike purchase?

Looking at a carbon fiber frame with a treaded bottom bracket. Probably with a 105 group.

I was initially leaning towards a flat bar bike, but after several recommendations, decided to just stick with a traditional set of handlebars with multiple hand positions.

Leaning towards a Trek IsoSpeed frame bikes for vibration reduction because I felt physically beat up when I rode the 600+ miles last July. I didn't get back on my old bike for at least 6 weeks afterwards, and I didn't ride much the rest of the year.

Leaning towards the Domane SL 5. It's not the lightest or the fastest bike in that category, but it's probably one of the most comfortable with both front and rear IsoSpeed decouplers. I want a bike that I can ride for several hours at a clip, and feel that I could jump on the next day and do it again...and again.

Thoughts?
